Sometimes our users complain that their security software detects a malware in our apps. This is quite a common problem, and it is called a false positive. The root of the problem is that some antivirus software may occasionally flag an app as malicious if it matches a “signature”, even though the app is absolutely clean and safe to use.
Please note, we do never include any viruses, spyware, malware, or any other unwanted software in our apps.
If you experience a false positive for an app and want to double-check it, you can submit the app to VirusTotal website to scan the app using more than 60 antivirus engines. Also, please report the false positive to us as we work with different security software teams and they white-list our apps as we report a false positive. It’s also recommended to contact your security software support, and ask them to fix the false positive.
